four "Baby Mamas" and a granny alone all weekend!

Trips without your kids is like the first semester of college - you're hyper, stay out way later than you should just because you can, you eat and eat, you pee your pants in movies like "Baby Mama" and then quote it all weekend, and any budget you had in mind goes out the door! That was exactly this trip...
...we started at The Grove in LA and then off to WICKED at the Pantages theater. It was awesome, but our night didn't stop there. A drive down Santa Monica Blvd., aka "Boys Town" at that particular time of night, straight to Rodeo Drive at about midnight. Then a drive through the Hollywood Hills with our heads (well, my head) out the sunroof calling out for celebrities. Then a picture in front of the Beverly Hills sign (which Sara did a little pee pee behind) and then back home....
The next day we slept in nice and long, what can I say...we had a late night, and then off to the beach! It was perfect weather, and with no distractions, very relaxing! After a few hours we cleaned up and made a stop at the beautiful Newport Temple. We felt like celebrities - being a family of five from Salt Lake City- and they gave us a little tour and introduced us to the matron.
Ruby's Diner...always a stop on our trips. This day I got my regular - a Ruby Burger with fries and an Oreo Shake. Later that night we stopped at Pinkberry and I had my new favorite...the Pinkberry Smoothie. I told you we ate and ate...or maybe it was just me!
One night, very late, Sara and Tara came down looking like this. We tried not to laugh and give them that satisfaction, but lets be honest...how can you not? This stems from a past girls trip joke...think Memoirs of a Geisha.
One morning we all woke up REALLY early (well, around 8) and ran the Corona del Mar 5K. It was a blast, and we decided it needs to be a new tradition.
Sprinkles Cupcakes...quite trendy, yes, but delicious all the same! We each had one of these yummy mummies one afternoon and enjoyed ourselves very much!
Then off to Nordstrom for some MAC makeovers and shoe shopping...what do you think?
All in all, it was another successful girls trip! It was so fun that it was almost NOT fun because I kept thinking of all the things I'm going to miss out on when we're away. Does that make sense or am I just crazy? I sure am going to miss all you ladies when we leave. Thanks for a wonderful, memorable time. I love all ya Baby Mamas!

What a fun trip. I am assuming these are all your sisters, right? I want to make it a tradition in my family with the girls to go on a girls trip every year or so to somewhere we love. Do you guys do this every year and do you always go to cali? I have heard so much about those sprinkles cupcakes and I can't wait to get to cali sometime and have one!

Fun trip! We should have left the boys and babies home! We saw you at church too, and were sad we didn't get to say hi. Hopefully we will see in Utah before you takeoff to USC. Congrats by the way!
