Back in October, Mitch got two weeks off work. We headed to Utah first, followed by a week in California. Mitch was thrilled that our trip overlapped with a Utah game. We headed to the game and watched the Ute's kick Stanford's butt. It was a great game, and so much fun to catch up with favorite friends we never get to see.

Notre Dame Boy's Trip...

Mitch, his dad, brother and brother-in-law all met up in Chicago for a sports-filled, boy's only weekend. They started out with a bull's game, and finished off with the Utah V. Notre Dame game in South Bend. Although the outcome wasn't thrilling (again) they had a great time.

The Blackout...

I know for a fact that last weekend didn't live up to Mitch's expectations, but he still said he had a good time...imagine that! Mitch and Dieter flew up to Utah last Friday and were up bright and early (or still-dark and early) to make it to ESPN's Gameday broadcast up at Rice Eccles stadium by 7 AM! Now that's a true fan. He loaded Dieter up in the backpack so he'd be easier to haul around, and it didn't hurt that it was red either. ;)
My boys had a good time soaking in all the hype and excitement for the big game - No. 3 TCU v. No. 5 Utah. Unfortunately, the Ute's didn't show up for the big game and my boys went home disappointed. Well, Mitch did. Dieter had a blast playing in the leaves with the Bateman cousins and running around soccer fields while Mitch cheered on his Utes - Thanks Sar!

Mitch is still glad he went, and is even off to Notre Dame next weekend. Can you say BIGGEST FAN?! Luckily, they play in San Diego the following weekend so the whole family gets to go. By the way, I'm not a Ute fan, just a football fan.

While the boys were away, the ladies gotta play! Finnley and I had a blast on our first "gul's" weekend. We went to Disneyland the first night, seeing the Aladdin play, toy story, the storybook boat ride, and much, much more. The next morning we were off to the Americana for the farmer's market, lunch, a little shopping, and playing. After naps (yes, for us both) we made dinner and headed out to see 'Megamind'. Finn loved it, and I thought it was adorable. Sunday we just relaxed, played some Dominos, and ate Mac n' Cheese for dinner. All in all, it was a great first girl's weekend and I look forward to many, many more with my little lady.
USC v. Oregon...

Last Saturday, Mitch and I left the kids behind and headed to USC's homecoming game against Number 1 ranked Oregon. USC took a beating, but it was still fun to be there with my man, cheering on the Trojans in the Coliseum, watching all the drunk fans and students, and flashing our "Fight on for Victory" signs.
They were having a "red out" but honestly I don't have much red in my closet. So, I decided to go with the gold. Well, I guess it was more green than gold and my man was very disappointed that I looked like I was rooting for the other team. Whoops!
Fight on Trojans!
