Duckworth's do Disney...

We took a break from the beach and headed to Disneyland with the entire Duckworth clan.  It was a great day and the kids loved experiencing it all with their cousins.  We fit it all in and had the best time.

We love Disneyland at Halloween time.  The park is decked to and looks so cute.  While the big kids went no the "big kid" rides, I took Remi on all the kiddie rides.  We had fun going from ride to ride and having some one on one time.

Somebody turned Thirty....

This was a big year in the birthday department!  I turned, wait for it...THIRTY!
I think my biggest struggle with turning thirty is that, inside, I still feel like a twenty year old.  But, then I see somebody who actually is twenty and I realize, "ya, you're not twenty anymore." Darn.

Mitch went all out this year for my birthday bash.  He planned a secret trip down to Florida for our little family, and we had a blast!  We left New York with it's 45 degree weather, and arrived to hot, humid Florida at 85 degrees.  It felt good.

For the most part we beached it and pooled it.  The kids played hard, we played hard, and crashed every night.  We played tennis in the mornings, looked for crabs and turtles at night, and even made it to Disney World (we couldn't stay away from Disney for too long)!
Here are a few snapshots for our trip....

She must be my girl...Cheetos in each hand!

And...to finish it off, an angel food cake with strawberries, my favorite!

Thank you Mitch for planning such a fun week for our family to be together.

Our Last Disney Day...

We made it back to Disneyland one last time during Graduation week.  Oh, how I'm going to miss our weekly trips to the happiest place on earth.  We were so glad the Hawkleys, Papworths, and Damon could join us for a final trip.

Finnley's FAVORITE ride is Grizzly Rapids.  She could go on it over and over again.

D-man and his buddy Grey.  We are going to miss all of our little buddies in South Pas.

This little cutie turned 3 months while we were playing in California.  She is the light of our lives.  And yes, that tongue is ALWAYS sticking out.

Of course we had to get pic of the graduate with his special Mickey Ears.
Disney...we'll miss you!

"Best Day EVER!"

It's turned into a tradition to hit up Disneyland for Finnley's birthday.  This year was no different, except we had a special surprise for her since we won't be able to celebrate this way again (at least for a while).  This year we scheduled lunch at Ariel's Grotto with all the princesses.  Finn had been wanting to do this for a loooong time and she absolutely loved it.

She told Mitch, "This is the best day EVER!" Score!

Mitch and the (two big) kids headed down to Disneyland first thing in the morning.  Remmy and I followed a few hours later. I made sure to grab her a "1st Visit" pin, so she can always remember she went to Disneyland at only 18 days old. (Don't worry, we kept her nice and covered.)

The lunch was a hit! Besides seeing all the princesses, the food was beautiful too.  Finnley especially loved the bread that was shaped as a flower, and the white chocolate sea shell for dessert.  She claims she could even hear the ocean in it. ;)

Finnley came home with a bunch of pins.  One for her birthday, and several princess pins.  She made sure to take them to preschool for "P" show and tell day the following week.  I love the simple things that make kids go gaga.

The highlight for our little man was getting smooched right on his forehead by none other than Belle! (A favorite in our home.)  It was the first time I've seen this little guy blush.  The best part is he hasn't stopped talking about it.  He points to his forehead and in his forced and choppy voice he'll try to explain to people that he got a kiss on his forehead from Belle.  When asked why he washed it off he just says, "I know?"

We're so happy we were able to give our Finnley such a special Birthday luncheon with some of her favorite characters.  She was spoiled rotten this year, but to be honest, I think she deserved it!
