Mitch's parents were down in San Diego on business, so we decided to go say hi! They invited us to stay the night, and we spent the next day at Sea World. It was a lot of fun, and
Finnley loved spending time with Grandpa and Grandma
Duckworth. We stayed at the Marriott over looking the harbor. It was
gorgeous, and Mitch loved checking out all the boats. Doug and Diane gave
Finnley a baby doll which she LOVES! She is now obsessed with her baby and loves giving her kisses, bottles, diaper changes, and putting her to "night-night".

Our first night there we went into Old Town and ate some yummy Mexican Food. Then we walked around all the fun little shops. We took some pictures of
Finnley with these HUGE pumpkins, and when we were finished Mitch told her to pick it up....so she tried!

Later that night we walked down the boardwalk to Sea Port
Village and
Finnley rode the
carousel twice - once with Diane and once with Doug. This was the FASTEST
carousel I have ever seen! It honestly ZOOMED! Diane couldn't even sit side-saddle
because it would force her off.
Finnley...
loved it!

We went back to the hotel and jumped in the pool and hot tub.
Finnley had fun throwing a rock into the pool and telling either me, Dad, or Grandpa to go
retrieve it from the bottom.

Saturday we went to Sea World.
Finnley loved it and totally sat and watched all the shows. My favorite part were the polar bears. It was feeding time, so they were very active - growling, running around, etc.
Finnley thought they were great too. I love her impression of the polar bear!

Holding a starfish at the Tide Pools. This is what I remember the most about Sea World growing up. This and feeding the dolphins!

There is a new section in the middle now with lots of little rides and fun things for kids to do.
Finnley went on Elmo's Flying Fish and the Jumping Star Fish. It was a great day and a fun little vacation. Thanks Doug and Diane for letting us come down and hang out with you guys! We miss you already.
