Riding with my Peeps...

Now that Finnley is back in school, I've been able to take advantage of my double stroller and bike chariot once again.  We had a few 80 degree days, so, after tasking Finnley to the bus stop, me and the kids took a long ride, finishing off with a day at the beach.  They are such good sports and usually give me a good hour before they start moaning and groaning to get out.  Its getting cooler and cooler, and I'm realizing my days exercising outside are very limited.  I love having these kiddos tag along on my workouts!

Timpanogos Cave

On our last day in Utah, we met up with Grandma Diane, Dayna and kids, and Danielle and kids, to hike up to Timpanogos Cave.  I hadn't been in yeeears and thought my kids would love it.  It turned out that Dieter is scared of dark, tight places, and Finnley reeealy had to go to the bathroom in the caves and just wanted to get out.  I won't tell you whether or not she made it to the bathroom. At least the hike up and down was fun!

Remi really wanted to get down and walk, so I let her.  Unfortunately, she fell forward and landed on her face and ended up with a nice big road-rash on her forehead.  That is the story of her life these days.  She always has some sort of scrape or bump on that cute little face of hers.

This picture sums up our time in Utah.  This boy was wiped every. single. day.  He'd nap in the car and then fall into bed at night.  We had a blast, and soaked up every minute we were able to spend with our family and friends.  Until next time....

Guy's Weekend...

Mitch went on the ultimate guys weekend with my dad and brother up in Cody, WY.  They fished, they rode horses, and they shot some stuff.  Ya know, guy stuff.   He came back refreshed, with a renewed love for the West.

Leo Carrillo...

Last weekend we headed out of L.A. and up to Malibu for a night of camping at Leo Carrillo state beach. Most of the boys had just finished up a HUGE week of mid-terms and needed a way to unwind and relax. I think lounging by the fire, roasting dogs and eating s'mores was just what the doc ordered.

Pehrson and Kate. Finnley has a crush on Pehrson and it is pretty darn cute.
Oh, and she calls him "Person" not Pehrson.

Jenny and Kate

The kiddos were awesome! I layered them both up with two sets of jammies, hats and a bunting for Dieter boy. They both slept great and made the whole experience even better. I loved waking up with my family all cuddled together in our tent. I think we need to make this an exam week tradition.

The "SMALLOW" created my Mike Garfield, and perfected by Mitch. Oh, Boys...the things they come up with. But seriously, a bite sized S'more? And for breakfast no less!

And thank you josh for this little collection of beauties. I call this "Josh Art" the newest form of Pop Art!
