Philly in a Day...

It came and went...our annual Girl's Trip. This year we started out in Philadelphia where my (3 month pregnant) sister lives for another few months. We piled into her two bedroom apartment - forcing her husband to bunk up with their three kids for the night. We saw Philly, and we saw it all! We had a great time and loved seeing Sara's city, and learning about the birth of our country along the way!

Its a girl's trip tradition to have matching pajamas. This year we actually had two pair. First our lovely ICEE night-shirts, and second, our I LOVE PHILLY shirts. My mom used to always wear 80's Lake Powell nightshirts, so we thought this would be a funny blast-from-the-past. Unfortunately, they were a little shorter than we anticipated.

We ate lunch at Reading Terminal. Mmmm. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. All the Amish come with their baked goods, homemade pretzels, etc. I could have eaten myself silly. I ate a brisket sandwich from Dinicks - a Food Channel special - it was delicious. The rest of our group enjoyed falafels and cheese steaks.

We stopped by Betsy Ross' house, the first US Post Office, and the first residential street in Philadelphia.

And last (but not least) you can't go to Philly and NOT run the Rocky steps! We all did our cheesiest Rocky pose, ran the steps, cheered, and called it a day.

That night we boarded a train bound for NEW YORK CITY.
