Big Bear Getaway...

Last weekend we escaped the 95 degree heat and headed up to Big Bear. My smile got bigger and bigger as we made our drive up the canyon and I watched as the thermometer dropped 10 degrees, 10 more, and then 10 MORE! Day one was in the 60's, and day two was in the 40's! We, along with 6 other couples, rented a cabin right off the lake. It was perfect, and had "spectacular" views!

At times it was a little crazy - like when the kids were still awake and running around and 11, 12, even 1 in the morning, when we played the paper bag game, and when we were all a little slap happy after late nights and LOTS of sugar!

We hit up Village Pizza, walked through the Village, rode the Alpine Slide, took walks along the lake, and ate lots and lots of food.
Finnley has loved making new friends. She and her little pals, Zoie and Tally, played great the whole weekend (ok, with an occasional slap, hit, or push). She also loved playing with the babies Drew, Dieter, Kate and Katelyn. So many cute kids around! The highlight of the weekend was definitely Cort's cooking! He needs to go into business. He brought up his big smoker and cooked the most amazing pulled pork! Mmm, Mmmm good. Thanks to everyone for including us on your fun weekend. We had a blast and loved getting our "fall fix". We feel so lucky to be in such a great area with so many fun young couples around.

Let's do it again soon!!
