We had a fun few days up at the cabin over the 24th of July. While it was 100+ in Salt Lake, it was a much more comfortable 90+ in the mountains. On the 24th we had all our in-state family come up for some sloppy joes, horse riding, four-wheeling, and an evening by the campfire. Steve and Rob started chopping down a dead tree with a dull hatchet which entertained the crowd for a while. Finnley couldn't get enough of her cousins Saylor and Jovie, and played played played all week! Tuscan loves the great outdoors and is completely in his element at the cabin. He didn't mind hanging around the three toddlers during mealtime either.

On Friday we set out a bouquet of Sunflowers on the table and gave everyone a piece of art paper, some paint brushes and watercolors and had them paint their interpretation of the centerpiece. It was really fun, and I was so impressed by what everyone came up with. We displayed our work on the cabin wall as a little art show.
Finnley likes to shake her pointer finger when either she or somebody else does something naughty meaning "no, no, no". Its funny...sometimes she'll totally tell on herself!
Friday night we all drove into Park City to ride the Alpine Roller Coaster (which is totally awesome!) and the Alpine Slide. Finnley got to go on the Alpine Slide and she loved it. She rode with Mitch and I stayed right next to them the whole time watching her huge smiling face. My parents were so great and watched the little ones while the rest of us went up on the roller coaster. They took them on the carousel, which of course they loved, and then gave them each their own bag of Cheeto's to devour. What great grandparents!
On Saturday it was time for another craft! Homemade hula-hoops! The DeHarts gave us this idea and it was really fun and totally easy. Here's how you do it. Go to Home Depot and buy some irrigation pipe, some connectors, and whatever colors of electrical tape you want. Then you cut the pipe to the size you want it, fill it with some small bee-bee's (optional) , connect the ends, and decorate! We made small ones for Finn and Jovie, medium ones for the kids, and even a GIANT one! They turned out awesome and it was a lot of fun.

finnley's hair is so blonde! Looks like you guys are having a blast! When are you moving out here? Have you found a place to live? Let us know if there's anything you need help with or a place to stay!!
